TINY LIGHTS: Memory's Storehouse/ Infinite Miniature is a theatrical collaboration containing dual solos by playwrights/performers Lenora Champagne (Memory's Storehouse) and Lizzie Olesker (Infinite Miniature). TINY LIGHTS presents an intimate yet heightened look at the richness of memory and story contained within everyday objects and gestures. Incorporating elements of Object Theater, gestural dance and poetic text, TINY LIGHTS unfolds intimately, with the audience seated on stage at the New Ohio Theatre. Using minimally technical, ordinary household elements (lamps, clotheslines, a portable record player, a suitcase, & a wig), TINY LIGHTS returns after a highly successful run at the Invisible Dog in Brooklyn. The 90-minute performance examines the “small things” in one’s life while revealing the unexpectedly cosmic. The landscape of the body, domestic memories and personal history converge via the lost rooms we live in.

Lenora Champagne writes performances, plays and essays and has been making performance works for thirty years. Her texts have been published in England and the U.S. and performed in New York, England, France, Australia and in the States, from Dallas to New Orleans to Philadelphia to Boston to Berkeley. Her work has received support from NYFA, NYSCA, the NEA, MacDowell and Yaddo, among others. Most recently, she has written and directed the plays TRACES/fades and Staying Afloat; she is pleased to be working on a more intimate scale again. www.lenorachampagne.com

Lizzie Olesker has been creating theater for over twenty-five years. Her work has been developed and presented at the Public Theater; the Cherry Lane Theater; New Georges; Clubbed Thumb; and in Brooklyn at Proteus Gowanus and the Old Stone House. She has received support from Brooklyn Arts Council, NYFA, NYSCA, the Dramatists Guild, with residencies at Blue Mountain Center, Tofte Lake Center and Hedgebrook.
